Special Olympics is a international charitable organization dedicated to enriching the lives of individuals with intellectual disabilities through sport. Here in Brockville and area, it has grown from very modest roots to a vibrant group of athletes, coaches and volunteers. brockville’s Special olympics does it again!! another first- a combined school and community S.O. dance–april 6, 2019

The school and community Special Olympics groups here in Brockville and Area got together to plan the first ever dance. Tickets were just $10 and included snacks and a photo booth! There were about 60 athletes from all over the community and it was a grand time. more than 250 attend 4th annual kevin payne swim meet, mar 31 2019, at the ymca

The 4th Annual Kevin Payne Swim meet hosted more than 150 Athletes and 60 coaches and many volunteers at the YMCA in Brockville. Despite the threat of an ice storm, all but one bus made it to the meet. Athletes from all over Eastern Ontario attended. The Athletes began the day by being marched in with a piper and the Knights of Columbus and competed enthusiastically all day.

kick-off for the 50-Day Countdown to the Youth Games celebrated with our brockville police at the station with a flag raising ceremony March 25th, 2019

Led by Police Chief Scott Fraser, Special Olympics and the Brockville athletes who have qualified to attend the International Youth Games in Toronto in May, were highlighted with a gathering and a flag raising ceremony.
